4 Years Old

Our toddler is now a pre-schooler!  We couldn't be prouder of our smart, kind, cautious (kinda), loving, funny, vast questioner and joke teller.

At 4 years old, Max loves soccer (he claims to have scored around 600 goals, but we think it was closer to 3), playing all games (currently the card game War is the favorite), saying "you're going Downtown" to his opponents, pink (purple is a close 2nd), riding his Ninja Turtle bike, Paw Patrol, crab cakes at Spasso's with Grandpa G, sushi, boats rides and sleepovers at GeGe's, sledding (rather Papa pulling him), waffles, teasing auntie SheShe, crashing toy cars into each other, forts, coloring, knock knock jokes, wild rides at any amusement park, kids circus, and anything with sugar.

Our Cirque de Soleil adventures have taken us to Denver, Chicago and Huntington Beach, California thus far for 2015 . . .

Max loved going to his buddy, Steppa, pool with KiKi.

 Taunting Steppa.

Happy 4th Birthday to my Little Sweetie!

Watch out for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle coming . . .

Go Team Macedonia!  Thanks Coach Amy.

Max's first soccer goal!  Victory strut!

Just being Max

Lunch at the Choo Choo in Des Plaines, IL with Uncle Danny.

 Kids circus is a favorite!

 My Chicago road trip chatterbox.

The Bean.  Max was more impressed with his Panera pumpkin cookie afterward.

 Wis Dell fun.  Hands up!

Love of games is growing . . .

Roar - Wis Dells bear hugs.

Chasing Grandpa G.  Not sure who's having more fun?

 Family pumpkin pickin'

Our stud muffin pre-k school photo's.  Of course, Max was so great that he was picked to help train the new girl and took extra pictures.

Beach bums collecting shells and waves.

 Huntington Beach Pier

Silly boys being silly.  Max had to use the bathroom and lucked out with "no purchase, no restroom" policy and got ice cream.

Mama shark eating her mini shark!

Couch 1, Max 0: Night before Halloween Max jumped from arm of couch onto a soft, pillow filled couch and managed to break his radius and ulna bones.  Poor dude needed surgery on Halloween morning, but he got to pick out his favorite color cast and we still managed to go trick-or-treating!

Mini Me loves to steal Daddy's hat.  Note green cast #2.

Meet Joey Marshmellow our unhappy cricket.

My keylime squeezer (more like keylime eater.)  My helper lasted all 3 seconds.  Note pink camo cast #3.

Loves to dress himself, but put on something extra "handsome" for his Mama on Thanksgiving!  I'm a lucky lady.

Giving Thanks Callie style!  Mason, Marshall, Stephanie, Max, Daddy & Mommy.

Did I mention silly?!

We're only half way through 4 so many more memories to come!  We love our little ham!

3 Years Old

3 years old, in a nutshell, was a delightfully active year with the chatterbox.  Max's growing imagination, sensitivity, love of colors (pink being the favorite), counting, car & truck identifying, and talking 24/7 took too new heights.  He loved his strider bike, scooter, Raphael helmet, anything ball related and became a little swimming star like his All State Daddy.

2014 was a special year with Daddy because he took an 8 month sabbatical from Cirque to be home.  Max loved fishing, biking, gardening, apple orchard, pumpkin picking, Doc McStuffins show, rock throwing, trains, cooking, camping in Wyoming, "back-up" park, DQ runs, and just getting dirty while in his PJ's all day with his Daddy.

He also enjoyed going part-time at Kids Grow with his buddies Bode, Henry, Eli, Hayden, Lucas and more.

Scott returned to Cirque de Soleil - Kurios show in October 2014 so we got to spend Thanksgiving in the San Francisco sunshine and then Christmas in the valleys of Wyoming.

Our Freeland Family Adventures with Cirque de Soleil continue . . .

 Birthday cookies for school.
Karate Kid . . . wax on, wax off.

Peace out Santa.  Can I have a scooter for Christmas?

 30 seconds later, Daddy buys Max a scooter . . . sucker!

School Christmas program filled with carols and cuties.

The cousins!  I'm going to put bricks on all their adorable heads.

Faster Papa, faster Papa!  Red Canyon Lodge

Happy birthday Daddy!  Celebrated in Redmond.

Loved scootin' to his morning sucker.  Sugar is a major food group, right?

The adventure gene (a.k.a. give Mommy a heart attack) is growing.

And growing . . .

We love you, Max, more than there is grass, trees, planets, or people.  We love you to infinity and beyond -- you're our favorite!
